Meet Our Teachers
Dr. Jacob Junbo Zhou
Voice
Dr. Jacob Junbo Zhou is a baritone from China. Dr. Zhou has served as an Assistant Professor of Voice at the Musical Theater Department of Beijing Dance Academy in Beijing, an Adjunct Professor at Xavier University’s Music and Theater Department, an Adjunct Professor at Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, and a Graduate Assistant at the University of Cincinnati College- Conservatory of Music , where he taught Applied Voice and Voice for Non-Majors.
Dr. Zhou holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Voice with a cognate in Choral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). He is currently completing his Master's degree in Musical Theater at New York University. His previous education includes a M.M. in Voice from the University of Cincinnati, a B.A. in Voice from Renmin University of China, and a Certificate in Contemporary Commercial Music Vocal Pedagogy from Shenandoah University.
As a researcher, Dr. Zhou led a project promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, which won the “Ethics in Action Award” from the University of Cincinnati Office of Research in 2021
As a soloist, Dr. Zhou has performed with several renowned opera companies and symphonies, including Cincinnati Opera, Opera San Jose, Sarasota Opera, Queen City Opera, Nickel City Opera, Kentucky Symphony Orchestra, CCM Philharmonic. Productions involving Dr. Zhou have been highlighted by NPR, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Playbill and other American mainstream media.

Shahar Regev
Voice Shahar Regev, an accomplished mezzo-soprano, is not only a dedicated voice and theory teacher but also a skilled cellist and composer. With a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree from the Manhattan School of Music, she imparts her expertise in music theory and aural skills to her students. Shahar's passion for music extends to her captivating performances, where she shines as a composer, singer, and cellist, showcasing the depth of her musical talents. |
Morena Galán
Voice An Argentine singer, holds a Bachelor of Music from Mannes College of Music and is pursuing a Master's in Classical Voice at Manhattan School of Music under Marlena Malas. Trained at 'Teatro Colón' and 'Manuel de Falla' Conservatory, she's a winner of ESU XX Singing Competition and others. Notable roles include Evita, Candita, Candelas, and La Natura in various productions. Morena's summer at 'Music Academy of the West' included collaboration with professionals like Sasha Cooke and John Churchwell. She has also performed at Carnegie Hall and the Consulate General of Argentina, showcasing her versatile talent. |
Radoslawa Jasik
Piano Polish pianist Radosia Jasik is the first prize winner of numerous competitions, including The Beijing Music Academy Competition, and the recipient of scholarships from Prime Minister of Poland, Mount Royal University (Canada) and Fontainebleau Schools of Music and Fine Arts (France). Radosława had her debut at Carnegie Hall in 2015 performing in duo with flutist Denis Savelyev. She returned to this prestigious hall as a soloist and with her duo multiple times in 2018, 2019 and 2022. In November 2022, Ms. Jasik curated her own project at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in New York, collaborating with composer Mikołaj Piotr Górecki. Radosława Jasik performed Górecki's solo and chamber pieces as well as the Trio Concerto with the Avalanche Orchestra. She also led a panel discussion with the composer. Moreover, Radoslawa Jasik has been collaborating with jazz pianist Andrea Domenici on their original project, exploring connections between jazz and classical music. Additionally, Radoslawa Jasik has been active as an educator, offering private lessons and group classes. She received a grant from the Polish Government in Warsaw to lead a series of workshops at Polish Schools in New York City in 2022 and 2023. Ms. Jasik earned her Master of Music degree and Professional Studies Diploma degree from the prestigious Mannes School of Music, as the recipient of the Steinway Award for an outstanding performer. She earned a doctoral degree in Piano Performance from the Hartt School, University of Hartford in May 2023. Christine Wu
Violin/Viola Christine Wu has been hailed for her “strikingly bold sound” and “technical facility” (Theater Jones), and performs internationally with recent appearances in Dallas, Clevelad, New York City and abroad. Ms. Wu us a dedicated teacher with extensive experience. Christine holds degrees from Manhattan School of Music, The Juilliard School and Cleveland Institute of Music and is eager to share her love for music with all her students. |
Aleksandar Hadzievski
Piano Aleksandar is a prize-winning pianist and official Steinway & Sons educational partner, currently pursuing his Master’s degree at Mannes School of Music. Originally from Serbia, he performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Opera America, Koscioszko Foundation and others. Besides performing, he is a passionate and devoted teacher with years of teaching experience in NYC. Mr. Hadzievski is on faculty at Bronx School for Music. George Michael
Clarinet and Saxophone With a rich and diverse career spanning over two decades, George W. Michael, a New York City-based saxophonist and educator, has excelled as a music educator, performer, clinician, composer, and arranger. Holding degrees from The University of Texas and Bowling Green State University, George has dedicated the last 13 years to educating young minds as a music teacher within the New York City Department of Education. His passion lies in teaching students in high-needs urban environments. George's musical journey is deeply influenced by the sounds he immerses himself in, with luminaries like Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, and Herbie Hancock serving as some of his most significant inspirations. George's melodious saxophone can be enjoyed at various esteemed venues in NYC, including the likes of Carnegie Hall Music Educators Workshop, NYC Jazz Workshop, JazzWaHi Series and the captivating performances of the Michael Shirtz Quartet. |
Andrea Domenici
Jazz Piano and Music Theory Hailing from the picturesque town of Lecco, Italy, Andrea Domenici, a jazz pianist and composer, has been a vibrant presence in the New York jazz scene since 2012. His musical journey began on a high note, winning the inaugural "Premio Gianni Basso" for best soloist and the top prize at the La Spezia Jazz Competition as the finest piano player. Andrea's performances have lit up prestigious venues across the city, including Jazz at Lincoln Center, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola, Smalls, Mezzrow, Smoke Jazz Club, and more. Beyond the Big Apple, he has shared his musical prowess worldwide, even captivating audiences at the Festival Internacional de Música in Cancun, Mexico, and earning a week-long residency at the esteemed Marrians Jazzroom in Bern with The David Adewumi’s Quartet. Recent accolades include his graduation from The Juilliard School with a Master's in Jazz Studies and from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, where his talents as a composer and arranger have shone. Currently, Andrea is immersed in a compelling project, reimagining the music of Thelonious Monk and his compositions in a distinctive and innovative manner. |
Tamar Sagiv
Cello On May 9th, 2023 Tamar performed her solo debut in Carnegie Hall as a cellist and composer performing her own composition ‘Roots’. Tamar was invited to perform her compositions on WQXR radio station ‘Young Artists Showcase’ podcast and at the prestigious Cello Biennale Festival in Amsterdam. She performed concerts in Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Sony Hall and NYPL. Tamar is a recipient of the Certificate of Honor from Maestro Zubin Mehta and The Buchmann Mehta School of Music for her outstanding achievements in the orchestra training program in cooperation with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in cello performance from the Buchmann Mehta School of Music in Tel Aviv, a Masters of Music from Mannes School of Music and she recently graduated with an Artist Diploma from the Mannes School of Music while studying under the renowned cellist Matt Haimovitz. |
